Terms and Conditions

1. License Grant

Upon purchase and successful activation, Transilvanian grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the rigSnap software on up to three (3) personal computers simultaneously. This license is tied to your unique Machine ID and the email address used at the time of purchase.

2. Trial Period and Compatibility

We provide a 10-day trial period for the express purpose of allowing you to test the software's performance and compatibility with your hardware and DAW. You are responsible for ensuring the software works to your satisfaction before purchasing a license.

3. Activation Process

To activate the software after purchase, you must provide your Machine ID and the email address associated with your purchase.

  • Licenses are generated manually and delivered via email. Please allow up to 24–48 hours for license generation.
  • You agree that the accuracy of the Machine ID provided is your responsibility.
  • Activation is an offline process; the software does not require an internet connection to run once the license file is installed.

4. Restrictions

You may not:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software.
  • Distribute, rent, lease, or sell your license or the software to third parties.
  • Attempt to bypass the Machine ID licensing system or modify the license files.

5. Hardware Changes

If you replace a computer or upgrade hardware that causes your Machine ID to change, you must contact our support team to request a license reset or update. We reserve the right to limit the frequency of these resets to prevent license abuse.

6. No Warranty

The software is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Because you have been provided a 10-day trial to verify the software's functionality, Transilvanian is not liable for any damages or data loss resulting from the use or inability to use the software.

7. Termination

Violation of these terms will result in the immediate termination of your license without refund.

Privacy Policy

At Transilvanian, we value your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you use our audio plugins and how we use it. Unlike many developers, we do not track your usage or require an internet connection for our plugins to function.

1. Information We Collect

We only collect the minimum amount of data necessary to provide you with a working license:

  • Email Address: Collected during purchase to deliver your license and communicate important updates.
  • Machine ID: A unique alphanumeric string generated by your computer. The Machine ID is a "hardware fingerprint" derived from your system's components — it is not a serial number for your computer, nor does it identify you personally. This is used solely to "lock" your license to your specific hardware (up to 3 devices).
  • Transaction Data: Our Merchant Of Record (payment processor) collects your billing information. We do not store or have access to your credit card numbers.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used strictly for:

  • License Generation: Mapping your Machine ID to your purchase to create your unique license file.
  • Customer Support: Verifying your ownership if you lose your license or need to transfer it to a new machine. We retain your email and Machine ID on file indefinitely so that we can assist you if you purchase a 4th computer and need to swap out one of your three authorized devices.
  • Product Updates: Notifying you of bug fixes or new versions of the plugin you purchased.

3. No "Call-Home" or Tracking

Our plugins are designed for offline security and stability:

  • No Telemetry: We do not track what you do inside your DAW, what projects you work on, or how often you use the plugin.
  • No Background Verification: Once activated, the plugin does not connect to the internet to verify your license. Your privacy remains yours.

4. Data Storage and Security

We store your Email and Machine ID on secure servers. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Your Rights

You may contact us at any time to request a copy of the data we have on file for you or to request its deletion. Note: deleting your data may deactivate your ability to receive license support or updates.

Refund Policy

At Transilvanian, we provide a fully functional 10-day trial period for our software. This trial is intended to allow you to thoroughly test the Plugin within your specific DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) and hardware environment before committing to a purchase.

1. All Sales Are Final

Due to the digital nature of our products and the provision of a comprehensive 10-day trial, all sales are final. Once a license has been generated and sent to your email address, it is considered "consumed," and we do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges.

2. The Trial Period

We strongly encourage all users to download and use the 10-day trial before purchasing. By making a purchase, you acknowledge that:

  • You have tested the Plugin on your system.
  • You have verified compatibility with your operating system and DAW.
  • The Plugin meets your specific creative and technical requirements.

3. License Delivery & Activation

Upon purchase, you are required to send your Machine ID and the Email Address used for the purchase to our support team.

  • We will generate and deliver your license file to your registered email.
  • Refunds will not be granted for delays in sending your Machine ID or for providing incorrect Machine ID information.

4. Technical Support

If you encounter technical issues after purchasing that were not present during your trial, please contact our support team. While we do not offer refunds, we are committed to helping you resolve activation issues on your authorized devices.

5. EU/UK Customer Notice

Under EU/UK consumer law, a 14-day "cooling-off" period applies to distance sales of digital goods. However, this right is waived once the consumer has explicitly consented to the immediate supply of the digital content and acknowledges that they lose their right of withdrawal upon delivery of the license key. By proceeding with purchase and receiving your license, you confirm this understanding.

6. Checkout Acknowledgement

During the checkout process, you will be asked to check a box confirming: "I have tested the 10-day trial and understand that this digital purchase is non-refundable." This is required to proceed and is intended to ensure clarity and prevent chargeback disputes.
